Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

I had two open containers of quick oats by mistake and wanted to use one up, so I came up with this.

Cream together:

1 stick softened butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup

Beat in well:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Stir in:
3 cups quick oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
Chocolate chips and/or raisins

Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-9 minutes, until just barely brown around the edges.  Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
